I know the guy that sells the kit....... I believe he wants $799 plus shipping for them. He's the former owner of missile engineering. He has them for 85/6 250R's and 350X's......

Hey Aussie, You think you could build that rear plastic? It probly would'nt be real hard to build a swinger like that. The drive hub might be a challange. I printed out a close up of the set-up I saw on ebay cause I was real Interested In having one. That ting just looks so cool. Especially with that 10 paddle on Er.

got a few questions bout these.... firstttt... were they made for 200x's perhaps??? and was the fatcat nearly identical (in regards to the frame and engine) to a 200x??? if so could you take the swinger and drivehub and put it on a 200x????

and.... with a paddle and running in the sand, wouldn't that kick ALOT of sand up across the engine causing somewhat of a sandblaster effect?

idn maybe i have no idea what i'm talking about.. but i try

Honda fatcats suck in the handling and supinsion the yamaha bigwheel is WAY better than the honda more power and better handling. the honda likes to slide out alot and doesent hook up well. Go YAMAHA.

Just saw this got kicked back up as well so I will post what I know concerning your question.

First of all Missile Engineering is still in business. The owners name is John Kite and I actually spoke with him a couple of weeks ago concerning parts for a 250r kit. Very nice gentleman to deal with and he still produces kits for the 85-86 250r and 350x. He does not sell kits for the 81-84 250r, the 200x, or the TRI-Z because of frame/suspension issues. The 85-86 250r and 350x kits however are going for $995.00 plus shipping. This includes all parts such as swingarm, jackshaft, hub, fender, etc........ Everything you need to install the kit but a new drive chain. For the 350x owners you even have a choice of colors for the rear fender, red or white.

The link to a previously posted thread is listed below. It has all of his contact information listed for those interested in parts or a complete kit. He does not widely advertise the business anymore due to other priorities but is more than willing to help with parts, problems, questions, or complete kits.

Here are some photos of the original kits I found from back in the day:

Sorry about the invalid link. I edited my original post to correct it so the above link now works.

It is an old thread but his contact info is on the first page in a reply by Aussieduner. Hope this helps all of you interested in the kits or parts.

I personally don't understand why someone would want to do this..I mean why not get a cr250 then? I know I couldn't ride a missle kit, I have enough hard times with most dirtbikes lol

I guess it’s just personal preference in my own opinion. I mainly like them for nostalgia purposes but that’s just me.
