MY YTM 200ern has three coils, lighting, pulse, and source. the question is what is the source coil used for. Is that for the charging unit. And if it is it put out the same wattage and amps as the lighting coil.

The source coil provides juice for the ignition... it works with the pulse coil to generate spark. The lighting coil is a totally separate, isolated circuit. It's very unlikely that the source coil is the same wattage as the lighting coil. Probably alot lower wattage than the lighting coil now that I think about it.
