ok i didnt kno where 2 post this but ok i have a 1984 honda v65 i just aquired from my neighbor who is the original owner but they hve lost the title what do i need to replace it?

depending on your state laws, it may just take a signed bill of sale with the previous owners info and the vin number.
call your dmv

I contact your local sheriff's department about checking a VIN for a theft history. I don't think they'll be able to tell you ownership info, but they should be able to tell you if it's ever been reported as stolen.
