and thats all there is to it. I'v rode many 4 wheelers in fact my first bike ever was a quad, I was a quad lover until i took my first ride on a Trike and got to see and experience how much better they handle. And for the record it didnt feel like an unstable machine like some may think, It rode just as good as any quad i'v rode yet better. Its all about shifting your weight when it comes to riding ruff.

Trikes are certainly in - i love them. I have more fun on building , talking and riding trikes then I do with all my other hobbies - including mopars.

For me, it is the thrill of hanging off the side in a sideways slide or seeing the ground when I look down with the open front end like a motorcycle. With a quad it feels like I cant see the what I am riding over - feels like riding a big couch.

I also grew up riding and racing these bikes and I never out grew trikes and never will. To me it just feels right - whether they are stable or not - it just feels right to me - wouldn't have it any other way.

Trikes are my life, they are part of my family and love them like a sibling. I grew up riding a 84 honda 200 quad, and my dad never allowed me to ride his 84 200s. untill the age of 8, i jumped on the 200s and have been hooked ever since. and my friend 8 years ago had a 86 tecate, and he let me ride it. and i was hooked, i mean hooked.. i play spot the trike, on the way to the store, it has got'n bad. i almost caused a car wrecked because i seen a 86 350x for sale on the side of the rode. I didn't slow down, i locked up the breaks. I know where 15 bikes in this town are sitting. evey time i hear trike, i drop everthing and investigate.

I rode a trike for the first time last year(I'm 44), I've owned dirt bikes for 25 plus years. It was this site that got me into them. I'm surely addicted! My only problem with 3 is coming down steep rocky trails- the rear wheels seem to want to point their own way(like into a tree!), but the more I ride, the better I get, and body english is definitlly key!

I used to be a quad guy. I hadnt had a quad or bike in a while then I found a 1984 tecate for 300$ about 3 years ago. That thing kicked my ass a few times. By the time I got the hang of it I was hooked. I love the looks on peoples faces when they see you riding one. I love climbing hills on a trike that my buddies are scared to ride their quads up. I love pitching a trike sideways and staring down the front fender like sights on a gun. I partially parted out my tecate like a dumb-ass about 6 months ago. I soon after began to feel an emptiness in my life. I am curently rebuilding my tecate around a 1985 kx250 engine and frame. I cant wait to get it done so I can get another dose of 3-wheeler action. Some people wonder why I like 3-wheelers, I say " They were built for fun, and they are still fun. You can keep the payments on your 450..."

It did run. It had really weak spark( bogus flywheel with epoxied magnets)and a bent axle. I put a pipe(mystery brand, looks like a DG), kx ignition, +4" swinger, and a new axle. The fork and shocks were blown, but I got alot of use out of it anyways. Everone that rode it thought it was an abortion. I fell in love that fact, and will always have a trike in my collection just to give them a reality check now and then.
