That don't sound like a bad idea John. never even thought of that but have no way of feesably doing it.

Another problem I seen would be torquing down the nuts on the long bolts as one side would be inside the brake drum. I think I'd just rather pass them on and let someone else that can really use them have them.

[QUOTE=chris200x]More trouble... Now I'm over 100 bucks in the hole. The spacers I got will let the rims bolt on. but it's gonna be way to wide for my style of riding. escpecially in the rocks and such. and now I don't think It would fit in the back of the ranger. I guesw the rims and spacers will be going into the classifieds here in a bit.

Good god!! I'd never run spacers of any length on an SX except for something real small. Those outer bearings support everything and the swingarm is pieced and bolted together with 4 10mm diameter bolts into an aluminum differential. Way too much force for the SX axle to handle. It will bend without you seeing it and chew the inner splines of the ring gear away. It's happened to me with a crappy 85 rearend and huge jumps....

It's an 85 thing.... The 86/87 SX rears are a much better design and I run 200X stockers on one and 85 250R's on the other with no spacers.

Maybe longer studs with 1/2 or less spacers would work for you and save you some bucks. How much do you really need or is it just jammed on there against the drum period??

you know... your not the first person to tell me that! Huffa had said those same words to me just a few short days ago. Unfortunalty I had already made the purchase. I believe I would need about an inch of something for those aluminum jobbers to fit. Unfortuatly they have sold aldreay! So it seems like I'm back to just my beat up old stock Sx rims.

anyone have some SX rims cheap?
