an 85 or 86 honda atc 250r would be a great choice. its got no-ending power matched with great handling plus they have the widest selection of aftermarket parts. and there pretty easy to find for a good price

    1986 atc 350x

Any of the liquid cooled 2-strokes. A 350x is a great trike also. Not the fastest, but plenty of power and very fun to ride.

honestly, a 200x with a mild cam is pretty good..... you can pick them up cheaper than 250r's and 350x's and they are tame enough that it doesn't rip your neck off... but if you want speed and have a good back, go for a 250r or 350x...

I agree with tyman, I own a 350x and love it, but it is rough to ride. I have had 200x's, 250r's, 250sx's, and 350x's, and out of all of them, if I had to ride one on long trips it would be a toss up between the 200x and the 250sx. The 250r is a fast trike, and so is the 350x, but they are a little hard to ride for extended periods due to their suspension.

250R is a great choice, nice ride (depends on how you ride tho, works great for me.) more than enough power, and you can get tons of aftermarket goodies for it.
