    Question 250 r front fork question

    i dont know if this is the right page for this but does anyone know of any forks off of a smaller dirtbike that will fit a 250 r front end? i am looking to lower it down a little to make kinda mini r for my kids. any help would be great weather it be just diameter of fork or lengths if i get any kind of a lead i could figure the rest out. those stupid ebayers dont ever awncer back so there no help so i turned to the real helpers in this world!!!

    a mini 250R for your kid? are you nuts?
    are you going to remove the motor and tow him? I hope! you could go to jail for letting your kid under 16 ride one of those....not kidding either!!!

    you can always take the short spring out and put it under the dampening rod,, it will make it 4 inches lower ..

    Id suggest selling the R, and use the money to buy a pair or three 200X's for them, and use the leftover money for gas.

    Seriously, If you have to lower a 250R in order for your kids to ride it, your kids have no business being on a 250R, unless you are building a mini, powered by a mini motor, like Jason Hall did. Go with a 200X, fully suspended with plenty of motor, but a much better fit for those kids in between mini and adult size.

    no its not going to have a r motor in it i love my kids too much for that!! and how do you take the lower spring out? i just want a lower profile trike for them with suspension does anyone have any pics of jason halls trike? i would lower the forks but want a cleaner look to it

    what about xr 80 xl 75 cl 77 and xr 75? does any one have any of these laying around? someone has to have a little t wheelers in there three wheeler collection!!!

    That's what i did to my TRI-Z RAG ... I put the Top Spring at the Bottom and the Bottom Spring in the Top !! Lower......... BETTER !!

    so it just lowers the origonal fork length instead of giving it more give? huh learn something new every day around here
