    red plug tip color

I just rebuilt an 82 YT125. Stock jetting, aftermarket pipe, mixed fuel- generous on the oil, NGK BP7ES recommended plug. After riding for a while and then pulling the plug, the tip and electrode had a dry reddish tint to them. Does this seem odd or ok?

Sounds like your plug is doing it's job;keeping itself clean by burning off the deposits.

Good deal. I'm running unleaded 87 octane gas with I think *cringe* the cheap wal mart stuff, it might be Johnson OMC oil. not sure.
