    2 wheeler out of a 3 wheeler?

Just was wondering if anyone has converted a 3 wheeler into a bike by modifying the rear to a single wheel? It might be a cool conversion and leave you with the badest mini-bike there ever was! I would think the hardest part would be fabbing the wheel hub to attach the sprocket to...

Honda made a bike like this, called the Fat Cat. Other manufators also made them as well. I believe they also sold kits to convert back in the day. Dont know for sure..

The company was called Missle Engineering I believe. There was some posting over the summer that the person still has parts available to do the conversions and also a flat track 250r. Yamaha made a bw80, bw200 and bw350 which are atv wheeled bikes. I have a bw200.

i think a 500 would suck- too fast for those balloon tires, prolly be a lot of accidents from the rear washing out under you
and if you ran half flats it would be like riding "jelly"
would be great for power and play though, id def ride it- i have a cr500 man big bores are bad a$s
    - love the 5th gear wheelies on it!!

    ?

Those Fat Cats sure are cool! And that Missle conversion is pretty much what I was thinking about...but if I had a 250r, don't think I would want to convert it. I was thinking more along the line of converting my 185s. I had a hard enought time finding a decent 3-wheeler of any variety here in Hawaii but to find a 250r would be nearly impossible. I see nice ones for sale here and on ebay but the cost to ship them here is about $1k!!! Man, those Fat Cats look cool!

My dad restored a BW200 and a BW350, mostly too see how they did in the sand...they ride pretty well but made more for slow goin and puttin around. I was expecting more out of the 350 but with only a 2 valve it had very tiny balls...not too impressed.

Hard to find kits, eh? I think its hard enough to find the trikes to start out with here where I live.

So many idiots that can't ride a motorcycle, so few hours to put my boot in their seat!

Hey Geezer, have you looked on the classified here or ebay. Lots of deals on ebay and the shipping is pretty reasonable as long as you don't live in Hawaii...they want over a grand to ship it to Hawaii!
