Hey everyone my gas tank is looking pretty nasty on my SX so i am going to paint it. Does anyone have and suggestions on what type of spray paint i should use? and should i primer, paint and clearcoat?

Most people will tell you to powdercoat first, and if you cant afford that, then use PJ1 paint or something, it's very durable I guess. For my restoration, I just sanded the tank real good, then used a strong solvent to clean it up real good, then put a few coats of primer, followed by like 2 cans of good 'ol Krylon spray paint, and then like a full can of clear coat. It looks great! It wont hold up as good as the first suggestions, but it works for me and was very cheap! Try it.
