any body know much bout 250rs

alright my friend has a 87 250 that is completly modded up, there isnt even 1 stock part on it and he has about 10 grand invested in it, its all lonestar parts and other aftermarket parts, ill get some pics from him if i talk to him tonight but its really nice, anyways i think he said it needs a rod, well im not possative but it needs osmething, just out of curiosity, do any other motors fit in it, and does anyone know a sight with cheap 250 parts if i decide to use the motor, o yea the motor is also a 330 stroker, ill try to get some pics tonight

i woudl definitly sink the money backinto the motor and get er goin again pressign and truing a crank isnt that expensive.

2 grand for the WHOLE Bike ?? your talking maybe 400.00-800.00 more to fix the Motor right........ was it Moto-Crossed ? and see if the frame is Broke by the foot peg's,lower motor mount,upper motor mount,also by where the kick starter rest next to the frame and by the Brain Box up front....
does he still have the stock cyl. laying around ?

no it was never motocrossed, just trail ridden and on the ice in the winter, is 2 grand to much or is it a ok price, i dont know anything bout 250r quads especially when they are all aftermarket

Where in WI is it located? Looks like a nice wheeler, seems that with the new 450's comming out the market for 250r's has gone way down, while trying to rebuild my '89 some aftermarket parts are being discontinued, like the hinson upper steering bushing. before long trying to find trx250r parts will be like trying to find ATC parts. Check your PMs too.

well if theres 10 grand in it get it fixed and sell the parts or ride it.If thats candian thats a good price but ud have to see it in person to know(me)
