    The free Z lives!

Some of you may recall I picked up a Tri Z for free a while back. Okay, maybe none of you remember. Anyhoo, I've had too many other projects to get to it, so when a friend, who is a high school senior and is completely bonkers about all things motorized, wanted to work on it I told him to go nuts. Lo and behold, the motor actually runs, and well. So, I'll just start chucking parts at the kid and see what he comes up with. He's going to MMI in FLA. next year and wants all the experience he can get, so I guess I'll keep looking for projects! Here's the before pic. It'll have new handlebars, twist throttle, seat recovered, frame repainted, pipe repainted, nasty stickers removed, shock, clutch, shock boots, tires, and who knows what else.

Damn, since it was free I wouldn't feel bad at all about spending $1000 on it to make it a real runner with aftermarket parts.
