I was thinking of trying these on one of my builds that I want to go with the smaller look. I cant find Hoosier 8"s These Duros dont look to be the same quality. Hoosiers are nice flat rigid looking. Whats everyones opinion on these

Other smaller or lesser known companies, such as Tiger ATV, Franks, and Cagiva, produced racing three wheelers, but in much smaller numbers. Few of these machines are known to exist today and are highly sought by collectors.

I have those on my Flatt Track 4 wheelers and I've picked up almost 1 second a lap plus the 2006 championship. There are the hoosier guys but at $100 a tire that's no deal and the duro's last up to twice as much for about half the price. Hell, I did 3/4 of the season on one set of tires and we race on asphalt!!! plus practice days.
They are really competitive in terms of lap times. So I say...GO FOR IT!!!!
TORKER.
THOSE WHO SAY IT CANNOT BE DONE, SHOULD NOT GET IN THE WAY OF THOSE BUSY DOING IT...
I've got a pair for my Z. One thing is their kind of taller then they advertise, its more like a 22. They do slide great, and definitely do not wear like a soft hoosier or american racer either. The only thing is, the pictures are a little deceiving the gaps in between each triangle are actually quite deep. They are a good tire though, and I'd buy another set when these wear out.
I have been looking at those for my 200X for awhile.Nice tires!!!

I want some of those tires. I bet there very zippy on hard surfaces and probably hook up well on semi-soft dirt.
I've converted all my mx tires to flat track tires, I've got a couple sets of duro's, Ohtsu's, hoosiers and I just orderes 2 sets of american racers. So far nothing on the dirt oval track compares to hoosiers except american racers. Duro's and Ohtsu's are way to hard of a compound, probably great for ashphault.
You can now get hoosiers for 9" wheels thanks to Rath Racing so that should help out a few people who don't want to shell out the cash for 10" wheels. With the right compound hoosiers will last. I used the same set all summer and used a soft compound.
OC, do you have a pic of the tire you are looking for? I know a few dealers who may have something laying around.
hey billy are you sure they are that tall? i could see them being closer to 19 or 20, but 22? i was wanting to get some for my quad but if they are that tall defintely not...

I ordered the 20x10x10 size I think it was from Dennis Kirk. And compared to a pair of old "regular" 20in holeshots they are quite a little taller. This isn't a real good picture, but the front tire is suppose to be a 23.5 it measures a little over 24. You can see the rear tires are pretty close to the size of the front. If I go over to the shop today I'll try and remember to measure them for you.
I have 18" duro's I will measure them next time I got to my storage. I love those tires, they are great on a hard, dry track. Next time I go to rausch creek, I'm gonna bring them, to see how they do there. I know they work good a chattsworth. I tried ohsta h-traks there and they are way too stiff and hard to a tire, I rode one lap and the tires gave so little, I was afraid I would bend the "trike racing" rims they are mounted on.
Ive wanted a set of Duro's or Hoosiers for my 200X for a while now but was to cheap to buy a set,, but I pick up a set of Hoosier's cheap last week,, cant wait to mount them up... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...2349895&rd=1,1

Hoosiers are so thin, you don't want to ride them too far from home. The Duros are pretty heavy duty.
