    carb jetting

    if i get a new 24 mm carb for my 110 should i get factory size jets or just use what comes with it? or is it a deal where you have to play with it to get it right? i have a mikuni on it now and am going to replace it with a new mikuni could i use the old jets? it runs funny now i think its wore out thanks

    Your carb isn't worn out and jets don't wear out either. 99% of the time a carb needs to be cleaned properly - that means removing and cleaning every oriface and nook/cranny spotless. If the machine is stock with the airbox intact and the lid on there and factory exhaust, then more than likely the stock jets will work just fine. I run 30$ used carbs on every machine I've ever owned.

    welll i have dg exhaust and no air box with a k&n. ive cleaned everything on that car and it idles good but when you hit it hard it wants to die but if you ease into it its better the choke is messed up and ive done everything to adjust it but change jets

    You are jetted way too lean for K&N and an AM exhaust.

    I usually buy a junk 20$ carb, take the jets out and use a drill index set and just keep going up like .002 thousandths until I get it right. Lower the clip on the jet needle one clip at a time (that raises the needle and richens the mixture). I always write it down somewhere so I don't forget. Jets aren't cheap when it takes you 4 tries to get it right. Read the sticky from DAMMIT! on the top of this page......
