Changing 1985 Big Red steering stem bearings.....

Anyone out there have any real concrete methods to doing this? Torch, /chisle? I have been dousing the races with anti-sieze for a couple weeks now until I had time to tackle this project. The outer race is still on the top of the steering stem and the inner race is still stuck on the shaft. Also How hard is it to get the new all balls bearing kits in place? Thanks.

heat the houseing up, mash and a big flat haed screwdriver, and go at it for the race, the race on the shaft sometimes has to be cut off.

Go get yourself a diamond file form a store that sells machine shop tools. File a deep groove in the bearing race in 2 spots about 1/2 inch apart. Then hit it with a punch it should just brake. My dad showed me how to do this one day when I had to change the rear axel bearing on my old station wagon. Were some eye protection.
