    free play in drive axle?

    ytm 200k

    Should there be any free play in the transmission? While in 1rst gear, With the chain off I can rotate the drive axle a little (1/8" or so) either direction. is this a bad sign or normal play?

    Do you mean the output shaft? If so, it's normal to have a little play in it. If you are talking about the axle, then with the chain off it should turn freely.
