New tires and rims for my US90K1 from Dennis Kirk

I bought three new BKT AT-109 tires mounted on AMS 8" Steel rims from Dennis Kirk for $195 shipped. I have the adapters for the rear wheels and I'm going to find a new axle for the front when I get around to it. Does anyone have experiences with these tires or rims?

I'll post back when I get them. My original balloons have been over inflated, slightly out of round and pretty well shot, but I'll use one of them for the front for a while. My trike is definately a driver and I'm wondering if these half-trashed take offs are worth anything at all.

Yup, he's right, there pretty easy to find and very easy to convert, we did the same thing on my dad's atc 90. Let me know if you need a hub and axle, I got one off a 110 I could send ya if you need it. Either way good luck with it

Well, the trike rides great with the new shoes on. I just need to get a front axle to finish the project. The tires came mounted and shipped for free, but I think they might have a little more air in them than I would prefer, but it sure helps for performance.

I just thought I'd follow up on my new set of wheels. The rears are perfect as shown above. I bought a front axle off a '79 110 for about $20 and it worked out pretty good. The offsets were a little off though. The axle came with 2 spacers- each 4.24" long. With the hub being offset, I hoped it would work out right, but no. The tire now sits between the front forks 5/8" off center. No big deal. I'm just going to cut one of the spacers at 5/8" and move it over to the other side.

Anyway, the tires are factory inflated a little higher than I think they should be, but the trike really flies with the new rubber. When I get the spacer situation fixed, this machine will be a rock solid rider.

I'm pretty happy with the tire/wheel/conversion over all and would recommend it to anyone floating around on 3 bad balloons.
