Cr80 carb question --cant find this anywhere!!!

Ok Ive been working on my cr80 pretty constantly, and its coming along nicely. I have a new cylinder, exhaust header, piston, reeds, and the main part I need right now is the carb. Its a 1982 model. I have looked all over the internet trying to find some information on what the size used to be (mm). It was a keihin, and I think it was a 27 or 28mm, I have heard both, but I have never found a spec sheet or anything listing the exact carb. The part # according to Service Honda is 16100-GC4-004. I have the intake boot and the inner diameter where the carb should go is just over 30mm (its like 30.5 or something), so the outer diameter of the carb would be that.

I have found a racing carb (Keihin Flatside PWK28[mm] clone) thats pretty cheap, but it still costs enough to be an expensive mistake. It includes the carb, cable, throttle, grips etc which is some of the stuff I need so I would like to get it all in one shot.

Does anyone here have a cr80 (1980-1982) that has a carb they could tell me the size or a # off it?

And one more question, when a carb is referred to as 28mm, is it the the outside or inside diameter of the carb part that goes in the intake boot?

I know this is a lot but if anyone can help I would be very thankful.

Any 28mm Flatslide 2 stroke carb will work, Most all 80-85's run 28's, that 28mm PWK will work Just peachy,,,,,,Just be sure to get the jetting right. When they refer to the Size there talking the Inner dia of the intake side of the carb.

Alright thats good to know, thanks on that. Ill go ahead and order that carb than. Just a few more questions, I have never ridden this bike before, I just bought it and started rebuilding it, so I dont know too much about the specs on it. I found out that its got a 6 speed, but does anyone know the shifting pattern? Also the Honda Common Service Manual says to use a 20:1 mix for all Honda 2 stroke engines, does this sound ok? And about the carb jetting, I am using a stock pipe, not really any mods to anything, so would I have to change it, or is this something I have to have all together and running to find out?

you will have to have it togther to see what the jetting is like in the carb you pick up, It probably wont be to far off, Run 50:1 Ams-oil , and the shift pattern should be 1 down 5 up.....
