Summit Indoor Motocross - Tallmadge, OH - Video

CRA begins 2007 with the Summit Indoor Series. I already missed the December weekend. This event is put on by Patriot Promotions, the same people who do the Ohio Faircross Series.

Next event is Jan 12,13,and 14th. The best day to race is Sunday since you get done in the afternoon. Garageboy, competed with me last year, and TimJr ran his 200X in the Blaster class.

My Z probably wont be ready, but it will be there running, one way or another.

Cost is $25 if you pre-register (must be received by Wednesday before event), $35 the day of the event. You also need an annual CRA membership ($20) and they hit you for a $10 gate fee. They also run an open practice on the 1th from 12-6pm. Ill run a trike if I have any competitors, otherwise, it looks like the Quad-Z will be running the Senior class.

    CRA website with pre-registration form. - http://home.alltel.net/racecra/

They let you race 3 wheelers?

Do they let you race 3 wheelers? If so I am just wondering how that happened. We have a new indoor supercross track here in Syracuse. They run Quads and dirt bikes. I need to ask them about 3 wheelers but im sure I know the answer. I am just wondering why Ohio is so much more lax than other states. Does anyone know or any rules or laws that may help get 3 wheelers on this local indoor track? Or does N.Y. laws just sux?

Credit that to Tim sr, and Derrick, and flyin Brian.they were doing this years ago. Only lately has it sucked the rest of (us ohio trikers in)and alot of credit is due to this site.Even when the guys were running z400's and the like, Tim and a few select others were out there running with these (punks) on full on race prepped quads.
I suggest you find your local private sanctioning grass roots race organization, round up some trikers and bug them till they let you in.Even if you have to run with the quads,it will be a start.AMA will never let it happen.
Here is where my long useless list of stuff nobody cares about should go...

Tim, you still racing Sr Quad? Brandon offered up the 400, since I have nothing else to race.

Not saying I would be racing, just curious.

Most of the places here I never had to battle to get in, because I started when there were a lot more trikes around, and have never stopped racing. Your best bet is to just pick up the phone and ask. Practices are easier to get into than races. They mostly are concerned about whether or not you are a danger to yourself and to others, and that you are not going to be impeding other riders.

I recently emailed a new track about practice at their track. They were relucatnt at first, but I simply explained that I had been arcing my trike in CRA for years, and had no problem blending right in with the quads.

Thanks Nate. TimJr is getting better all the time on that Blaster, and not nearly as scared of it as he used to be. As for me, I think the days of 250 pingers keeping up with 450 thumpers on a tight track with good traction are fading fast..........

What happened to the blaster? Did it lose all of its torque for the jumps?
    Rest in peace Rex Carlson
