I need some ideas for my extra 350x frame. I was wandering if any of you had custom x's (engine swaps, frame mods, etc). I was thinking about putting my xr 500 engine in it, but some of the threads here say not to do it. Any ideas?

man do what you want to do. if i had a extra frame id be putting a sled engine in it.
down to parts because i no longer have a place to ride trikes.

I primarily use my running 350x for trail riding and a little sand riding ( I do not want to do to much to this trike because it is almost completely original and I have the title for it, plus its a blast to ride stock). I want to build the second one for mild drag racing and sand riding, something I can ride all day in the sand with no problems. I also plan on riding it on the trails when I have friends and family come to visit. I have given the sled engine idea some thought, but I do not have a sled engine, and I do not know much about them (I have not ever rode one). I would really like to run a high h.p. naturally aspirated 4 stroke.

yea i hear ya your over west. the sled engines are nice. but only if its not a 100+ deg. unless you got a l/c. then you need to rejet the carb/carbs. but yea i would stay with a good powerful 4 stroke where you are located. plus a 4 stroke is more reliable.
