    Question Install tires on beadlocks...question

I'm trying to install new tires on a new set of Douglas beadlocks I bought and I don't quite know how. I worked in a tire shop in college so I have the fundamentals of tire mounting, but beadlocks are new to me.

Looks like I remove the bead, push the backside of the tire on and then reinstall the bead sandwiching the outside bead between the rim and the beadlock. Is that about right?

There is a lip on the outside of the rim but I can't get the tire over it. Looks like I'm not supposed to.

Any tricks for beadlock rims I should know?

    Thanks, Chris

the tire seats in the inside bead just like a regular tire and the out side just gets sanwitched between the rim and the ring, way easyer that mounting a regular rim.

Lucky for me the ITP website had a little tech article on installing tires on beadlock rims and I got mine installed. These things are way easier than regular wheels. Now I wonder why ever would I get nonbeadlock wheels. I'll post some pics of my new rolling stock when i get to my camera. Thanks guys. Chris
