Tri-Z sprocket and brake hub questions

I purchased a billet sprocket hub, Durablue axle, and began putting some things together today (during polishing breaks). The sprocket hub forks just touch the carrier and keep it from spinning, so then I started to get a tad bit p*ssed ! As I look closer at the schematic, it shows a dust cover (#12), but as luck would have it, it is showing discontinued everywhere that I have looked. That got me to thinking maybe I put a shim in there, but then I would worry that would mess up my sprocket alignment. I haven't started to look through the boxes of stuff from the teardown, but I know how my luck goes!

Any suggestions or comments? Does anyone know what this dust cover is? Seems odd that there isn't one on the other side of the carrier, or at least not showing on the schematic.

The brake hub is an eyesore with the other things nice and shiny. Is there a compatible version that fits up without issue?

The reason this is happening is becuase you bought a banshee rear hub for the axle.correct? I really can say only that in my messing around with the shee rear parts interchanging,is that they have a slightly different relieved carrier edge.The billet hub is just machined too thick for the tri-z carrier.the banshee stock hub clears with no problems.So you can take off prolly a 1/8 inch of your carrier and make it clear.If not sell the billet hub and run the tri-z or stock banshee sprocket hub.Sorry,? but I dont really recall needing a shim on any of those rear ends.

Now!!! On to your brake hub question.I have not found another brake hub that works.They too will hit your carrier.But!!!!!!!
I did find a new rear rotor set-up for the Z's
YFZ 450 rear rotors are a direct bolt on to the Z brake hub.I just did it.You do however have to space the caliper out 1/2 inch of the carrier to make it work.PLUS<<< we can get them cool WAVE rear rotors now.Oh,and you can still run your stock skid plate with no problems

Hmmm, interesting facts. I was thinking that I could mill off a bit of the hub fingers to get it to clear. But, the dust seal made me think that this would improve the clearance issue that I am having. I guess I will have to dig through my old stuff and see if I can find this mysterious part.

As for the brake hub, I guess I could try to clean up the stock one, but it's not going to be easy to make it shine like the rest of the parts.

Any reason why there's only a dust seal on the sprocket side, and not on the brake hub side? Just seems sort of strange to me.
