1984 atc200m bent axle easy fix?

Ok, this is the issue. When i adjust my chain to the desired tension it does not stay that way.If i roll the bike slightly forward it goes loose again and if i roll it forward some more it gets tight again.I assume the axle is bent. The only other possibillity in my mind is irregular wear on the sproket,or a bad berring(i should be able to feel this.right?) So anyhow i read somewhere that a bent axle can be fixed. Just bend it back or what? and is there a trick to this?

i doubt a bearing would cause it to get as loose as you describe... and i also doubt the axle being bent, the sprocket is soo close to the center of the axle, if it was bent enough to effect the chain slack, then the three wheeler should move and shake pretty bad when you ride it... not sure how the chain adjustment is set up on those but i'd imagine its a sprocket...

my old 200 had the same problem. It was a broken frame right behind the rear wheel (chain side). the frame would flex and throw the chain.
