Question Pics or Tips on Building Trike Work Bench

I am thinking of building a Wooden Work Bench for my trikes to make it easier to work on them.
Also, what are you guys using for an engine stand?
I would like to see pics of a work bench/stands you built for your trikes to give me some ideas on how I want to build it. Thanks.

I went to my steel supplier and put a 1/4" thick top on mine. Go to the steel place first and build the bench to accomodate it. They charge by the weight and by each cut they make so there leftovers work well. The steel gave me a great place to pound metal flat on, mount a vice to and weld things on top of or to it for fabricating purposes. In my basement I used a piece of 20 gauge galvanized sheet metal and bent the front down 1 inch so it isn't sharp, I screwed it down to a double layer of plywood. I use this bench for my motor work. It is almost essential to have metal on your bench or it gets oil and grease filled which is dirty and a fire hazard.

Make sure the height is comfy to work at, have a nice shop light above it and drawers underneath are great to have.

    BRD,
I use a metal, commercial type door. Its 4' wide and 80" long. I set it up on metal sawhorses. I weld on it, beat on it, fab things up and oil and grease wipes up easily. It has a 4"x16" window in it thats recessed that holds sockets, etc from rolling around.
The other option i considered was doubled 3/4 plywood with a peice of sheetmetal like Dirtcrasher suggested. Just screw/glue the sheets together before covering it.
