So thankgiving evening a guy came and bought my 200X for his daughter, this was the last trike I had, Went out and bought a el camino to mess with. Now im kinda looking for another trike, saw a 86 250R for 600 bucks, unfortunately it doesnt run. Last two Rs I bought 1st one needed a piston, then turns out the shift fork or something was bent. 2nd one connecting rod bearing went and needed a crank too. Really kind of shying away from the 2 strokes but if the owner gets ahold of me and I can get it for a decent price I may just go for it again! Im sure the trikes worth every penny theyre asking for it, but kind of gunshy on these 2 strokers. Jim

I've been without a wheeler since 2003.....so I'm trying to end that as we speak.

There are devotees on either side of the 2 vs. 4 stroke debate, and each have their reasons for being on one side or the other. For some, it's their experiences. For others, it's things they've heard.

There are some riding situations where I like a thumper every now and then, but I'm a solid two stroke fan...have been for over 20 years. Pound for pound the two stroke can't be beat IMHO.

I know how you feel. In my case, it didnt take much looking at all before another trike was in my garage.

well I prefer 2 strokes, becouse I like the power and ease of maintence, but I alos like my few 4 strokers, my 200x is a fun bike!! m little alt suzuki is non stopable, and my doughters little trx 70 is fun and mellow just right for her. SO, it all depends on what you want to do and how you ride, premixing a 2 stroke is no big deal to me as Ive been doing it for 17 years so its second nature, but its alos nice to gas and go in a 4 stroke

I've got a line on a 3-wheeler that I could've bought back '88-'89. I've been told the widow of the last guy to own it still has it about 30 miles from me....and that it's changed hands the last two times for less than $600.

I've known of this machine since the original owner had it built back in '85 or '86.

By the way.......what makes this a big deal is that it's a professionally converted KX 500 wearing '86 Tecate plastic, and sitting as low or lower than a stock Tecate. It's still wearing the wheelie bar from the '80's.

Needless to say I really want to get my hands on that one.
