Ok, its not exactally the kind you ride on. Anyone fly these? I picked it up at Small-Wart for $50. Its pretty cool and Ive managed to crash it more times than Ive gotten it off the ground, but its a cool sight to see it flying....even if it is for 5 seconds at a time.
The only problem Im running into is it will go about 50 feet and the radio will cut out and................CRASH! Im charging some AA's so hopefully weak batteries is the problem.

When you get some more flight time, try getting into combat flying. Here's my Hellcat, wingspan is 78 inches, 35lbs. The last one I had got clipped in combat, wish I had the video of the collision. I like the dive bombing competition. You load up your bay with rocks and divebomb a destroyer floating in the pond. Or if you want to get real crazy and hopefully not blow your plane up, loading it with M80's and divebomb. You use the estes rocket ignitors to light the fuse and hope the bomb doors work. I've seen them not work before, it's the best!!

Im seriously thinking about it! I havent even had the plane for a couple hours and am already hooked! The problem before was weak batteries in the transmitter. I got some good air time until the wind carried it into a tree. Im on my last two propellers already!
Two tree crashes, miltiple ground crashes, and a smack right into the side of the house, and the thing still works!

Just give me $50 when you hit it and Ill be over tomarrow. Id like to practice over by the track if its cool. Its already pretty banged up, but not enough to affect aerodynamics.

Funny, I was just looking at towerhobbies for a decent cheap one. Not a lot of room around here though, to many trees.

They also had another cheaper(29.99) one at Wal-Mart but it didnt look as realistic as this one. I think the wings and tail are made of balsa wood and the fueslage is styrafoam. I flew it against a slow wind, and it actually hovered for a few seconds. Still, its too light IMO. Wind tosses it around too much, but w/e.

I have one of the cheap foam flyers to. I was surprised how durable and easy to fly it is. Unfortunately on the very first launch I lost the rear wheels, landing with just one wheel up front is tuff! I plan on getting another one this summer as mine finally broke, I have a friend with a nice gas model plane that I can get cheap, he built it but never got around to learning how to fly it.

Anyone near me know how to fly and want to give lessons? I am in the W. PA - E Ohio area until May and I have another friend who wants to learn.

If you think thats bad, you should have seen when I had a plastic model Chevy truck rigged up with the motors. It didnt fly either.
Im thinking about getting a 'Dragonfly' helicopter from a seller in Hong Kong. Price isnt too bad and it looks like a quality piece. Anyone have experience with these heli's?

*edit* It wasnt too bad really. It was just too easy tossed around by the wind(less than 5MPH est.) and the radio contoller was screwy. I eliminated the batteries being the cause when I rigged up some wires and ran it directly from my cars battery(8 AA batteries@1.5V ea.=12 volts..so the voltage was good).

Well I finally got the motavation to go get my gas powered truck running. Man, i forgot how fun that thing is. Thing wheelies and does donuts like all hell. Fast little thing.

I have experience with an R/C Heli......and none of it good.....I built a kit had it all set up but never was able to fly it correctly...(the guy that set it up for me flew it quite well).......I sold it before I destroyed it trying....they are much more difficult compared to airplanes.......
