Call your local motor vehicle department and see what their classification of a "motorcycle" is and see if you can make your trike fit in. Many states down here classify anything with 3 wheels or less as motorcycles, and are able to be registered and made street legal as one.

I would say no, there was a 3 wheeled car, yes car a guy made into a 3 wheeler in my towm and the law told him to park it. it had lights fenders blinkers brakes, everything and still a no go. aint seen it in years wonder whee it is now.
