    Question tri-z shock fix?

I'm looking to get a better rear shock for my tri-z. The ones I have are blown and don't want to come apart, also the shafts are junk.

Did you change the gas res or just modify the mnt?

i found the warrior shock made the bike sit low. i run a banshee shock. i also donr have the gas tank there anymore too so you dont have to worry about hitting that.

i just mod the mount it is a little smaller so i slotted the lower bracket so the hose went in it then bent it back and just made a half moon shim so the factory rubber strap held it in place works great sit about maybe an inch higher (but i am a big guy so it works great) and handel great also . the local dealership said they could send the old one out and get it rebuild for 550.00 but that was a little more then i wanted to spend. this worked great and good luck. a remember when your done n there will be no more later greg

Id reccomend searching ebay and waiting for a deal on a works for a warrior, or a shee witha remote resi so it clears the tank. I got one for 50 bucks BIN,
warrior shock is no improvement, just another shock. Same ride height for me.

I put a warrior shock on both my Tri-Zs. Seemed to have same ride height as the tri-z shock from what I remember.

I just blew out my warrior shock replacement this weekend, so don't expect them to last too long. Direct replacement though, so its real easy to replace.

Hey another new hampshirite. A few of us go riding in NH every so often with all 250 2 strokes. Usually in the summer - if your interested -

    get that bike fixed.

Stock Warrior and Banshee shock are the same length. Stock TriZ shock was about 1/16" longer. Warrior shock is simplest replacement. It is not an upgrade, but its the cheapest and easiest to find replacement. Since yours is blown, I guess you would call it an upgrade in your case!
