Tamaqua Ride Feb 3 Saturday - actually New Philidelphia

Chris & I are thinking of going. It's free to ride there. It's not a 100% sure yet but if it happens we would meet at picture below at 9:30. This is right in the beginning of New Philidelphia heading S (about 20 minutes or so) on 209 from Tamaqua. The picture is on the right as you come into town, I think it's pine street.

Not a huge planned thing, just simply bring a lunch and we go ride.

If your late (I don't wait around for late goers) the riding area is about 3 miles into the mountain. Make a R at building and bare to L at SS in pic. Nasty road that takes you back directly to where we park.

If you check out the ariel view you can see pine, then ton, then township rd and back to ton again. Right beyond that is a clearing on R that sort of looks like South America ...........we park just a ways beyond that.

I just wonder if anyone has ridden there lately and if it's still cool. It's been almost one year since me and hondalinehuffa have been there..

I should be able to make this one. I got me a new truck to tote my toys!

I'm wondering that myself. I may just have to take a ride up there this Saturday to see unless someone chimes in and says it's cool. That 3WW member down my way in Slatedale knows the area well but I can't remember his name or if he has been on here at all lately?

HondalineHuffa I think I like that name! I do have a fair amount of Hondaline stuff now so the name fits well!

Most likely it is but I'd hate to meet a few guys there then not be able to ride.

If you can find out Greg, that would save me a trip.

That area is quite large and we'd probably not be able to cover it all in a week. I've heard the RR beds from hazleton out past Mcadoo go straight through the tamaqua new philly area. we must make some more trips to explore.

I'm looking forward to this already.. Just hope it ain't too cold.

It will be mostly all trail riding too. We don't know our way around real good yet so there will be quite a bit of U turns most likely.

Get lots of rest cause when you with HondalineHuffa you will not get many breaks! Two 10 minute jobs, 20 for lunch and the rest = RIDE>RIDE>RIDE !!

Great to hear that you might come gazoo, really!

The cold didn't bother me at Brapps at all trail riding but on the roads after a while it started to. Ya figure we only go 15,20 - 30 mph at most in woods so we should be fine.

Maybe we will even have SNOW!!
