    question on tires

    Anyone with a q sport 230 what tires are you using for trail ridin? Its got 18 holeshots and it seems to rev up quik and drag alot on the trail. Was thinkin 22`s might kill the power how bout 20`s? Not lookin for racing more ride quality,Gettin to old for crashin and mostly trail ride with my 8 yr old son with his quad. Thanks for any ideas

    i would go with a 20 for trail, but you could always go with a 22 and re-gear if scraping is that big of an issue... if i were you, i would keep my out and find a set of stock rears off of a 400ex, raptor, or a yfz.. there are others too, but keep in mind almost all of the stock tires youll find are for 9 inch rims...

    Great. I looked into them and like the yfz tires. Now if someone can help me with stock 9inch Q-sport rims. And maybe a set of used stock YFZ tires that would be great. Thanks for your help

    My brothers friend runs 20" claws on his 230 and they work great. They are good tires and the size seems to be perfect for trail riding.

    I think the 18" are mainly used for MX riding. 20" are good for trail riding. Holeshots and Razors hook up real nice. You might check what the bolt patter on a 230 is. It be the same as some of the newer quads and you could just get a set of take-offs.
    Many quads for sale. 400EXs, Z400, 450s ect.

    the lt230's bolt pattern does not match a z400, or any honda type bolt pattern.

    Thanks for the input. Does anyone know what else fits the q-sport bolt pattern or if I can change the hubs with a diff quad if the splines are the same? Thanks Agian
