OK Guys,
what are the front tire options for my 86 250r either with staying with
the OEM rim or changing to a 10" rim.

The only 10 inch rim I have been able to find is custom order. I posted information about that about a week ago. http://www.3wheelerworldforums.com/s...ad.php?t=63214 $104 and 4-12 weeks lead time. They can be found though as another board member acquired one as I was ordering one.
I've nothing but good to say about the Kenda Front Max.

4cylinders,
Is the 12" on a Tri-Z by chance?
If so, the stock Dunlop front tire was still available a few years ago. I believe the original '86 Z tire is also the OEM front tire on another Yamaha 4 wheeler.....but of course not DOT legal.

hey, not sure about tri-z wheel, but there are a lot of DOT scooter etc. tires out there. what are the specs for a tri-z front wheel?
one cylinder is not enough!!
i am not sure what DOT scooter tires have to do with anything?
i run a kenda front max. i will buy another one. they look good and work good and are cheap.
hey, street legal means DOT tires, for hi-speed. over 65mph, for long distances, on highways/ pavement. sorry, not trying to hijack the thread, just get some info for 12'' wheels.
one cylinder is not enough!!

I dont know if you have seen the Kenda front max up close but they are sick. Deep lugs great handling and strong. If you want a cool looking tire good luck. If you want a great tire that will handle great and keep you safe check out the Kenda front max. The Tires on the rear of my Tecate Kick ass I love them. Great for all situations and strong. I use dunlap tires that are identical the stock thread. The Front max is great for trails and sand. I don't like how they handle for mx, they grab too much and fight counter-steeting alot.
