    damaged 250R case

    how bad is it to have this crack here?

    Where is here?? Must mean by the chain... Oil coming out? Clutch pivot got hit? Not a good thing. If you guys would adjust your chain and not ride when swingarm or axle bearings are shot this wouldn't happen! Not to mention that a case saver would be nice. Oh, a picture would be nice before I asumed anymore!!!

    Ya, I've owned mine for 18 years and never lost a chain, 16 of those I didnt even run a case saver either. It just takes a little maintenece and a lot of common sense

    A break up top is better than one underneath the oil level. Can't be any worse than the gasket sealer all over that thing, LOL!!

    Take it to the Best machine shop - have them fix for you ....

    I seen them do wonder's ...

    im trading a used but very nice 120 manual clutch lifan for this im buliding a flat tracker after everyone told me to get a bigger trike lol. and ive seen billy and every one having all that fun on 250s and said ***DO NOT TYPE AROUND THE WORD FILTERS*** ya i gotta try it lol

    I wouldn't worry about that. That is just for the Case saver. No worries there.

    i stil havent recieved it im waiting to get it in the mail lol im getting it redone middle cases red powder coat (when i get the funds) and im gonna polish the side cases!!!

    that should be fine my freinds was broken in the same place from a chain whip and it was fine for 4 years and still going. I tighten a bolt to hard on my shaft cover and it cracked off just like that almost in the same spot, i just put silicone over it and painted it black in *Edited**Edited* case red and it would be good.
