Yeah we hunt at least 3 days a week from Jan to March. It was cold today. I got two. The three guys that I hunt with and myself have killed 50 or 60 so far this year. Here are some recent pics.

hey what do you do with them. do you sell the fur to a fur buyer. here in new york you can get up to $45 dollars each. usually around $20 though.

Yeah I sell them. Most of the time I get 15.00 to 25.00 for them. I spend alot of money for gas, so most of the time we barely break even. They use the coyote fur for trim on coats and high end fur coats.

i do some coyote hunting too but i mainly trap. this year the money was in muskrat and mink. beaver doesnt make the cut. traps cost more and you only get a couple dollars more than the muskrat. joe

I also trap. I take 3 months off every year to trap. I trap mainly for muskrat and mink. In the past 4 years Ive caught more than 9500 muskrats. Thats total for the 4 years. I usually catch 125 to 180 mink. This year the mink population was down. We have alot of rats though. I was getting almost 6.00 apiece this year. The last 10 years the rats were only 1.25 to 3.00.

i was getting $6 each green for muskrats and $18 for mink. im done for the year. work not allowing any time. season ends on the 15th anyway.

We shoot alot of them up here in Wyoming. They are bring $25 a pelt this year. I have been considering trying some electronic calls, but the mouth calls still are working fine. Anyone using electronics?

Yeah I dont skin anything. There is no way for me to keep up with my catch. The first couple of weeks Im catching 150-200 rats a day. Mink this year were 12.00 for females and 20.00 for males.

i do alot of cyote huntign btu i do it in an un orthadox fashion. ak 47 and my spot light in a tree stand over a eletronic call. i got chased 3 years ago in archery season just after dark and ende dup gettign 3 with a bow and got bit 6 times by the time i got to the house. truely most scary experiance of my life not there arent a smany cyotes but now ther eare suposedly mountain lions int he area that the game comission says dont exist but i have seen them.

Yeah Ive got 2 electronic calls but hardly ever use them. I use a mouth blown holler and rabbit call. Most of the yotes around here dont seem to respond to the electronic calls.

It depends on the situation for the gun. If im sneeking I take my 22.250 bolt. If im calling at night, either Ithaca Mag 10, or Bushmaster carbon .223 with gen 3 ATN night vision. Calling or driving during the day, Bushmaster .223 Varminter. And ocassionally I pop one with the AK or SKS.
