So just curious. How do you know you hit the right oil passage, and how do you know the rest of the engine is getting oil, and that it's not just circulating around in the cooler, and back to the oil pan.

I will be working on an X this summer, and it looks like a real sweet setup. I just don't want to be the guinea pig.

i installed a oil cooler back in the 80s to my 85 200x and thats the right [place to do it...look at your case it has little circle's in that area, well thats ware you drill

all you need is make sure you run a block off in between the 2 oil holes you drill

00s...... chomeoly framed 350 RX with all the goodies (thanks to my bro)
    2012.....Replaced the 350x motor for a 444cc YZ426

Thanks Edog I will book mark that for this summer. Can't wait to get my honda. It's going to be a project for shure. 83 frame, front end, fenders, tank, swingarm from my friend for about 175, and his cousin has a 200x engine with a bent shift fork.
I'll need an axle, rims, tires, and a seat, oh yeah and a pipe.

    Should be fun.

I just dont get automatic negitivity of some people around here, vs,, "hey man maybe this would work better, or maybe you should thy this first"

I also put up a pic of the Big Als 185 200 case saver, they fit pretty good... I have a new Mosh seat for it, and once the snow is gone I'll put the Hoosier's on it... Still need a nice set of nice fenders...

Not sure how much more oil it holds, how ever much oil is in about 2 feet of 1/4 (hard line) and 3feet of 5/16 (hose and cooler) line... I filled it loke normal ran it till warm, crimped the rubber hoses so the oil wouldnt run down and checked it and added as needed... Its really not much..
