    Big Red 250 lighting issues.

Hi guys. I have an issue with a 250 Big Red, that I can't seem to get any help on. When I start it up and turn on the headlight, it only really works well on high beam, and this is only at idle. If I rev the bike, or drive it, the light gets substansially dimmer. I would have thought that it would work opposite of this. Makes for crappy riding at night.

    Any Ideas?

My dads '83 and '84 Big Red's do the same thing whenever he doesn't have a battery in them. Toss a battery in there and you'll have a bright headlight.

Or this might sound like a grounding issue to me. Check both battery terminals as well as your main ground.

Battery is good. Even when I put it on slow charge overnight and thow it in the bike it does this (Plus the batt is only 6 months old). Grounding issue could be a possibility.
