yeah, check your dealer. mine wasn't able to , so i put a little bit over oil in it, and let it seep out if it was too much. was a little bit messy tho.

I have the repair manual, but It dosent really show how much to put in. I think it said something about filling the fork leg to the top. It says to compress the spring, then pour it in, because that is supposed to soak between, and get all of the inside. Be sure both legs have the same amount of oil in them. After that, you grease the top, and put it back on. I'll take another look at it. Maybe I missed something.

wouldnt it work just as well if i filled it up w/ the bottom hole plugged up and the spring out and then assembled it w/ the oil already in it? i dont have a press to keep the spring compressed. or could i just wait for the oil to soak through the holes in the piston?

fill it upsidedown so that the piston fills quicker, then reasemble. would be easier to do on a 225 that to take it all apart.

are you sure about 4 oz? i put about 8 in before the top part of the forks filled up and it still seems like it might be low cause theyre not very smooth-it seems like they are sucking air sometimes. i could only do the left one, when i tried to undo the bottom bolt of the right one the spring would rotate in the housing instead of the bolt coming undone. that side has never leaked tho so i think im going to leave it as it is until it starts to go bad.

Both of my manuals say the same thing. 4 ozs.
