welcome to 3ww! :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D prolly the biggest prob, like nos said, would be where to place the kickstarter, and i dont know if the engine is a direct fit, or not.

Welcome to the board. Always good to see new people around here, and since you're failry young, hopefully you can stay a while.

The kick starter is a problem. I am sure HondaATC might have a few things to add to this as well. He is amid a confusing ATC500 build.

One more thing, document the entire build with pictures and maybe even a list of what you did. Pictures say a thousand words, and the guys around here love a good set of mid-build pics to drool over.

Its harder than you probably want. But sense you have the motor, just chop away. Buy a custom exaust from www.trinityracing.com or something like that. Or you can build a custom exaust, but custom wont be near tuned, and will hurt your performances. They now can have premade ones from trinity for that conversion.

I HAVE A 500R,, the kicker is the only problem i have , the pipe i had biult looks like the stock 250r pipe so there is no room for a full lenght folding kicker , the kicker shaft is 1.5 inches deeper in the frame than the 250 kicker too, so i built a slide on spacer thats removable cause with it on and wide enough to clear the brake pedal its to wide to leave on to ride... it goes under the seat ,, its ok for the dunes,, cause you get use to keepin it running ,,, i haven't seen one yet that looks good and works good too,,,,

but i am still looking tooo

Bentwrench, I didn't mean to step on the "more mature" fellas feet, just glad to see a newbie.

Nice to see another Purdue Graduate.

Actually I'm doing the other 500 conversion (4 stroke). I really didn't have much of a problem with the kicker on mine. I did have the problem of it not getting enough throw, but I got the brain storm to just take it off, and take the slack out of the shaft (You know how when you fold out a kicker, it goes about 2-3 inches before it catches and starts actually turning the motor) And after I did that, no more problems with kicking it. Now I've just got to get it to run

you have to weld them. i used a cr500 fmf pipe and i did not have to change the lenght so it did not affect the tuning. dont worry if you lose a hp or two because you will have a bout 20hp to spare!!!!

yeah, like basket said, use the header off the stock 500 pipe, and the rest off a 250r.
