Hi everyone. I have a 1982 200S rear axle in need of replacement. Looking at ebay and see many that look the same. Does anyone know how interchangable these axles are. WOuld one from a 1985 200X work? How about one from a 185. I know nothing about these machines yet and want to get it going asap.

double check your year. 200S was not made until 1984. Are you sure it is not an ATC200?

you are probably correct. The VIN number as I decode it says its an 82, so probably is an ATC200. Assuming it is, will an axle shaft from a 185 or other model fit this machine??

you'll need a axle from a 80-82 model atc 185 or 200 with the 25" tires. the 185's are different.
in 83 they changed the axle so theya re different.

2008 KTM 525xc quad ----- HMF exhaust, HRE chromoly stem,
86 trx 250r --- with after market chromoly frame and everything else done to it
01 400ex --- with 86 trx 250r motor
87 250x + 93 300ex both 350x powered
2 = 86 atc 350x's
86 atc 250r
83 atc 185s --- from retired guy not ridden since 87
