    The RULES

No trolling, and post baiting. If you post something with the intention of doing nothing more then pissing a person(s) off you are doing what is known as trolling or post baiting. Trolling and post baiting will not be tolerated period, and you will be banned without warning or notice totally at any moderators discretion.

Don't be a post whore. 99.9% of the time you can get your message across by hitting the "edit post" button instead of the "quick reply" button. Learn to do that and get use to it. We will not be tolerating 5 one line posts in a 12 post thread all by one person. If you continually post idiotic things after other people have made a genuine effort to help you, be prepared to get educated in the errors of your ways. It probably will not be delicate. Continuing to make un-necessary posts or posting with useless info after being warned will probably result in temporary account suspension. See this thread for more information: http://www.3wheelerworldforums.com/s...ad.php?t=10609

Don't be a thread hi-jacker. It would bother you if someone came into your thread and started carrying on about a totally different subject. Use PMs, or make a new thread if necessary.

Don't type like an idiot. Make an effort to write your posts using adequate grammar and punctuation. If you don't, you'll find that your responses leave a little to be desired. Take the time to properly write out your question or post, and other members will take the time to properly follow up to them. We're not writing an encyclopedia here, but as we provide this free service for everyone we ask that in return you please observe this courtesy to all members. See this thread for more information: http://www.3wheelerworldforums.com/s...ead.php?t=9639

Use the search engine, and when applicable PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! reply to an existing thread no matter how old it is before you make a new one about the same content. See this thread for more information: http://www.3wheelerworldforums.com/s...ad.php?t=59418

All riding pictures or videos posted on the forum whether linked or attached must depict the riders wearing minimal safety gear (This means a helmet). If you post pictures of you or your friends riding without a helmet then theres a fair chance the post will get deleted. If in life or death circumstances where you absolutely positively HAVE TO post a picture of someone riding without a helmet then draw one onto them with Windows paint or similar application.

No spamming. You'll figure this one out.

No cussing in the forums. We have word filters in place here and users found repeatedly attempting to circumvent them will likely find their account suspended.

Do not post in all caps! It makes your posts difficult to read and is known as shouting on the internet. You might think it'll save you time to keep from punctuating and capitalizing your sentences, but please don't do it.

Don't post any links to, or show any pornographic, blood and guts, or similar material. This includes avatar and signature pictures. If you decide to push the envelope on this rule, you will find you pushed it to hard. This is a family forum and people who break this rule will be dealt with most swiftly and severely.

Do not abuse the signature privilege. Keep your signature small, where no one has to scroll side to side with an 800x600 resolution. Your signature may not be more then then 3.5 inches long up and down from the start to the end. Violators of this rule will be warned, and further action will be taken if it continues.

Do not post links to youtube videos without atleast a brief description. Members on this forum are on dial up, or in my case satellite which is a pay per usage service, and its important to know what the video is whether I will spend my time (and $$$) watching it.

Do not attempt to impersonate another member, or person other then yourself on this forum.

Please make an effort to read and understand the descriptions for each forum. If you have a question about what is appropriate for each place contact one of the moderators listed on this page: http://3wheelerworldforums.com/showgroups.php

Don't post a classified ad outside of the ATV Classifieds, or if you are checking interest in a new part, the Research and Development forum. NOTE: The ATV Classifieds and the Research and Development forum both each have their own set of rules. Read and understand them before posting there. You agree that using either forum for sale/purchase/trade of any items on the forum is totally at your own risk without possible re-reimbursement from the 3WW forum if something does not go your way. We will not be responsible for any loss whether monetary or otherwise. Caveat Emptor!

Forum postings are to be in English only. We understand that we have many members from foreign countries reading and posting on this forum, but the majority of the members speak English as their native language and we ask that you respect that.

Each member of this forum is to be alloted only one user name. Members found to be using multiple user names for un-savory reasons will have their secondary account deleted and primary temporarily suspended.

Discussion of any illegal activity will not be tolerated period! This includes but is not limited to; street racing stories, police evasion stories, under age drinking, drug use, theft, etc. Postings about such topics will be removed without notice to the poster and likely result in account suspension if the practice continues in the future.

Classified postings (For sale ads) are NOT PERMITTED IN THE NEW MEMBER AREAS!! Wanted ads are allowed, if you are in need of a specific part a veteran member may have it and be willing to help you out. You are absolutely prohibited from posting items for sale until you've reached full memerbship status. Such threads will be deleted and repeat offenders after a warning will be banned.

    Donation thread policy

While the intent behind these is always pure and of the best intentions, I believe the time has come for some ground rules and guidelines that need to be followed by the community when there is a donation drive going for a 3WW family in need.

The need must be verified with the member (Or their family) directly, via phone-call at least. Either by a moderator/Administrator. Bill, atc007 has volunteered to help with this also as he has been a great motivator in the past for these situations.
The donations must be transferred directly to the family (Unless family publicly gives permission for secondary party to handle it on their behalf)
Reasonable need. There is no need for me to even describe this thus far, but if I don't at some point in the future its bound to happen. To me a reasonable need is a serious illness, the loss of a loved one, etc. If the tires on your truck are getting slick and your wanting a hand out, get lost. This is serious stuff for people in situations that seriously need it, when a family member has touched us here and made a lasting impression and we wish to show our appreciation for that.

Any donation type thread not found to be meeting these requirements can and will be axed until such time as things can be verified, direct paypal account for family can be identified, etc.

I, and a lot of other people genuinely appreciate the generosity of people here with regards to money and the effort to help out someone in our tight knit community when disaster strikes. I hope these few guidelines will streamline the process of getting help to those that need it, and instill confidence in the generous membership that their efforts are going to good use.

If you see a post violating any of these rules, use the "Report Post" Button
Its not possible to monitor every single post on this forum, so if you spot something we missed, use that feature to let us know.

Don't make a post asking where your post went, or why its locked. There are several moderators of this forum they are found here on this list, a long with the currently banned users: http://3wheelerworldforums.com/showgroups.php

Click on the links behind each Moderators name to go to their profile, where you can send them a private message. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE A POST ON THE FORUM ASKING ABOUT MODERATION!

In addition to all of that, the moderators reserve the right to at any time they determine so, to suspend a users account without notice even though they may not have "technically" broken the rules. Yes, that means we can single you out. However we will not be doing so unless you have proven numerous times your sole or primary reason being here is to cause trouble or incite anger among the other members. We have the capabilities of keeping track of a users past offenses and their track record will determine their punishment. It is unlikely all members will receive the same type of suspension or punishment as each case is treated individually. Punishments range from an account suspension of a few days, to permanently banning your account from use. If your found to be posting under a duplicate account or registering a new account while a current ban is pending, your "new" name will be deleted and suspension time will be added to your old account. If after you've been banned you re-register just to make a post that says "*Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited* you!" to the moderators you'll be a lot less likely to come back in good standings then you would be if you had just sent a simple apology PM or email. We are not un-reasonable people, courtesy goes a long way.
