    best 200s exhaust?

ok guys the time has come. what exhaust will best fit my 84 200s? it is slightly modified. they are ... bored 2mm, 12:1 compression piston and rings, 200x cam (if that means anything) , and a 25mm or 26mm (i forgot what one it is lol) carb. i just what to know what the best exhaust system would go best with my mods. i hate to have them mods go to waste because my exhaust is keeping my power plant from doing it thing. or does it not matter what exhaust i run?

Bassani, Super Trapp, DG and lastly Cobra seem to be the order from best to not so good. Of course DG and Cobra are the only one's you can still get new. I'm in the same boat as you on my 84 200x. I've got a couple different Bassani pipes that might work with a little MacGyvering and the right head pipe but stock pretty much sucks.

If you are not locked into using a 200s exhaust, I would look into 200x exhaust pipes. A used supertrapp is nice and you can adjust it somewhat for tuneability.

good choice with that bassani. I had a 200x with a cobra and a different 200x with a bassani. You could really tell the difference between the two. Are you running race gas? 12:1 is pretty high.
