125m head cam mods.
Howdy I cut the long side off the 185 cam and installed it but the exhaust valve has no clearance for adjustment .It bottoms out the valve with no adjusting screw. I miked the lobe and it looks about .010 larger than the 125 lobe . keep in mind that I installed new valves any suggestions.

Double check your timing. I say this because I have a 200cc head on our "Wrecker". It's a 1988 TRX125 and has the same motor as a 86-87 125m. The wrecker runs good with the head and cam. The only thing it needs is rings ( smokes like all get out ).

A 200S head will fit on an upright 125 engine. Didn't know that. I looked and looked for a better cam for my 125 and I found nothing. Didn't realize the 200S cam would work. Anyway at only .010 larger it should not be binding like that. Something else isn't in right.

200s cam in 125m
I installed the Cam out of a 185 . everything looks fine until you turn the engine over to set the valve clearance . Howdy had an article that i read he did something similar . If i understand his last post to me he used the upper portion of a 200 s and installed it and the cam on a 125m ( upright style) . I only modified and installed the cam. Oh well I guess I'll have to spend the 75.00 for a new Cam.

yea, I changed the whole head and cam. I noticed a increase in power as well ( the old 125m cam / head was trashed ).
