New to the board

So i wired up my Lifan motor today. Everything is seems right as far was what the wires are connected to. The problem is, is when i press the starter button the only thing that happens is the current arcs on the solenoid and makes a ticking noise. The motor doesnt turn over. any suggestions as to why the electricity arcs on the solenoid?

arcs as in sparks?? Somthing is backwards, or its not tight enough. For the clicking maybe the battery is not strong enough. also maybe cause its wired worng.

Got the holeshot
Try jumping the post on the solenoid. If it cranks the solenoid is bad.

The two cables connected to the solenoid one from the battery and one from the starter on the motor, were only hand tight that may have been it. When i go to start it the motor does not turn over. would it make a difference if it was tighter??? ill try it asap.

maybe *Edited**Edited* stator motor is bad check the brushes on it.
