i need to add 2 cents about case savers. first of all, the beefier the worse, think of what a case saver is made to do, create a "cushion" between the sprocket, chain and case. if your chain wants to come off, it will and it will do damage. what it damages is up to you. the beefier the case saver the less of a "cushion" you have, so if your chain comes off, its taking the case saver mounts with it, while the saver remains largely undamaged. i dont know about you, but i would rather buy a 20$ saver rather than a 300$ case half. if you get a mid-range case saver, you get best of two worlds, when the chain goes wild it will a) bend rather than hold on to the cases and snap the mounts off and b) it will help guide the chain instead of letting it bind up in front of the sprocket. so, in my strong opinion i would go with either a nac's case saver or an equally weak case saver, anything beefier is overkill.there is a reason why the serious racing ompanies don't offer an extremely beefy saver, only bling-bling companies.
