I pulled the carb off the 350x I just bought and noticed the baffle is missing (plastic baffle that slides over the main jet). What does the baffle do? It runs without it... Also... the manual says "check the choke for smooth operation"... The choke kinda ratchets or clicks into place a couple times as I lift it. It seems like it is supposed to, but I've never had one before so just making sure. Thanks!

the plastic thing is a splash guard...it will be fine without it
the choke should have 1 or 2 notches or so

The choke has three positions. Off - half choke - full choke. Sounds like yours is working correctly.
Whats the purpose of the splash guard Swigin? I have wondered that myself? I know it works with or without it I couldn't tell the difference when I took mine out.
