I see them on ebay a lot. You should be able to get one for 20,30 bucks or so.
You sure don't want a new one at 300 bucks!

the shock is discontinued and would have been $360 according to bikebandit.com. Your best bet is either ebay, the classifieds here, or go aftermarket. For $313, Worksperformance.com makes them.

Mines BEAT! It looks like the original from '85 and at my weight I'm needing something in good condition. Even with the pre-load dialed in half way it's bottoming out pretty hard going over the rough stuff.

yeah they do that especially with my weight. My SX has the stock shock and the other has a works. Personally I like the way the stock one is unless for some reason I'm jumping it
