    cutting bearing race

I am trying to cut off bearing on rear axle with no torch. Has anybody ever used a dremel or any kind of tip that is hard enough to grind the race off in that small of space ? I might have to break down, go to the local welding shop and get it cut off. Also pm me if you have a brake drum for a 84 200m with phone # and price.

I use a dremel with a cut-off wheel to get stuck races off. It works great just by making 2 cuts through to relieve the pressure, then it should just tap out.

Be careful not to cut into the housing when using that dremel. I've cut alot of races out with success until I started useing a bearing puller. So much easier doing it that way.
