The gas tank most people use is from a Tri-Zinger. Though they don't fit real well, they do work.

There are no other aftermarket pipes available for the Tri-Z other than the DG.

The Zinger tank holds considerably less fuel, which is something to think about when duning. Other than increasing rear shock options, I dont see much benefit to a gravity tank, especially one you have to keep running back to refill.

The DG pipe is a little more low end oriented than the stocker, which you might want to try (minus the 40 lb stock silencer! Use an aftermarket silencer). As Bryan stated, your other option is a custom built one, or what I would probably do in your shoes is modify a cheap stocker. If you shorten the pipe between the cylinder and the expansion chamber it should move your powerband upwards.

The Triz ignition timing cam be adjusted some by rotating the stator plate via the slotted screw holes, but I have found no noticeable difference from one extreme to the other. I suppose a person could make those holes even longer and experiment, but I doubt the peak setting is outside of its stock range.

You didnt mention what year TriZ, but the 85's tend to top out pretty early, so you may end up bearing upwards from stock for dunes. The 86 tranny has a lot wide range, and youd proabbly be fine to try stock at first, and see where to go from there.

its an 86,and i rode it from october of last year to presidents day weekend,in glamis, and the only mod i had was a dg pipe, and re geared 14/43,but i had the stock swing arm,and some sand stars 21x8x8.now iam porting it,and also adding the extra window to the cylinder, like the wrench report calls it.the other thing iam going to do is bore my cylinder, its stock bore right now,and iam going next over[68.25],but the people that i buy parts from, just now told me that the piston for the tri z got discontinued, where can i get a wiseco piston from, and topend gasket kit, rocky mountain or something?thanks for the help guys.iam also adding a +6 banshee swing arm, with the axel carrier of course.very exited about my project guys, and thanks for all the help.

I would start at the stock settings and go from there..and a newer style flat slide would be a lot better.
