    85 rm125 interchability

Will any parts from a rm250 of the same year (84/85) interchange? I really want to know if a 250 engine with bolt in, or at least close enough to make new mounts. I have look on bikebandit and I can't tell they look the same. And pictures of the frames and various parts the look the same as well.

    If anyone knows help out!

I'm reading though alot of pages on differant forums too, so it's not like I didn't look.

This may or may not provide any insight (probably not--but hey, it's worth a shot) but you may want to take a look athttp://www.bikepics.com/manufacturers/. Maybe you can find some good engine close-up pictures to help see mounting points and whatnot.

I checked at bike pics, it looks almost Identical, I can't tell a differance. I can make mounts that's no problem. but it looks like the same bike too, except it says rm250 and diff engine.

    oldskool83: what's differant about the rad's?

I have a complete roller that's why I'm asking. and I don't want to part it out on ebay. too much trouble, but it would be nice as a bike, even if it is old and didn't have the best suspension or handling, I can always modify it, I got enough parts laying around lol.

I'm not for sure putting a 250 into it, just If I find one I can afford before I find a 125 I'll get it if it will fit.

the rads are smaller on the 84-85 rm250, 84-88 rm125 use the same as 86-87 rm250. i prob would get a 250 motor in there, i was just told buy the guy in texas i sold mine to that he thought they were different......the rest of the bike is 100% the same....good bike by the way too, just never liked the rear mono's linkage set up.

PS XR200 motors fit really easy in them frames too hehe..
