Going to look at a Tri-Z

HAving supper and then going on a road trip to look at a triz. Guy tells me its Red,white and blue. He says its in good shape but has no spark and never ran for him in the year he owned it. What are some things to look for or at on a 2 stroke Yamaha? $600 Canadian for it. It has flames too. lol. This could be a turd.

    Look for-
    Cracked Side case
    Bent foot pegs

Normal things like rear end bearings (take grab bar and push side to side)
swinger bearings take the handlebars and shake and look for play

See if the motor has decent compression, and if the coolant bottle is on the left side near the motor its a 86 model with a 6 speed. Under the seat is the 85 model and a 5 speed. 86's also have larger fork diamete 39mm over the 85 35mm I beleive.

$600 canadian sounds like a pretty good deal even if it doesn't run. Good luck!
