    1985 ATC350X Should I?

I have the opportunity to pick up a super clean 1985 ATC 350X for $900. Bike has been ridden around a parking lot 10 times in the last 15 years and that's about it. It has Renthal bars and a rear ice chest rack but other than that it's all original. Fenders and everything else look brand spankin new. Is it worth it? What is a pristine 350X worth these days?

A pristine 350x is worth a good 1500 to 2000 in that good of condition. Sounds like a good deal! Pick it up! Any pictures to base this off of?

Got the rear bumper (not the grab bar, the bumper thats torn off most of them), a big plus, and a couple other goodies like that headlight grill. Needs fork seals.

    In conclusion:

Quit sitting in front of your computer!!!! GO GET IT!

If you posted this and it was in Phoenix, I'd have it in the back of my truck while you were thinking about it.

OK, seems like $900 is a fair price then! It's a friend of mine and he is insisting on changing the oil before he delivers it. I feel pretty good about the deal after all of your input! Been a loooooooong time since I did the ATC thing and we happen to be putting the finishing touches on an ATC500R that's been in mothballs since the late 80's. Last time a swung a leg over an ATC I was racing the likes of Jimmy White, Dean Sundahl and Curtis Sparks...Yeah I am gettin old!

I don't suppose that 500R is one of the Honda prototypes is it?

No, we built it ourselves with a little help from our buddies over at JR Racing who were formerely known as Dirt Werkes. At the time they were building National Championship dominating Honda Odyssey's. Well they really had nothing to do with an Odyssey other than racing in that class. They were complete ground up customs powered by CR500 barreled FI engines. One of their cars was in one of the first Dirt Wheels magazines too... Sucker used to lift the front wheels off the pavement for some sweet 30-40 foot power wheelies...
